Recently I decided to change my computer for a latest generation Mac Mini with Silicon CPU and Big Sur OS. Without internet connection it is a failure to make this application work but it works fine as long as Logitech keeps its DBs accessible. We don't care since the last time I moved 8 years ago.

I have been using an iMac running OS-X 10.11.6 (El Capitan which is the OS version of Sep 2015) and Logitech Harmony Remote Software (7.8.1) with a Hamony One (no hub) for about 15 years. Je suis aller chercher la version chez Logitech… Ouch ! quelle régression, j’ai essayé de faire ma configuration pour ma télécommande… re Ouch… heureusement que j’ai encore mon ancien Mac pour pouvoir restaurer ma config initiale… Je suis maintenant en quête d’une nouvelle solution au cas ou ma Harmony One tomberait en panne.īref Logitech Harmony Remote Software (7.8.1) est loin d’être la panacée il reste quand même fonctionnel bien mieux que la nouvelle application J’ai voulu installer le logiciel Logitech qui évidemment ne marche pas sur une machine autre qu’Intel 64bits. j’ai d’ailleurs renommé Big Sur par Big Pain :-S

Plus rien de compatible avec ce que l’on connait d’Apple et Intel. Sans connexion internet c’est un échec pour faire pour fonctionner cette application mais elle fonctionne bien tant que Logitech garde ses DB accessible.ĭepuis peu j’ai décidé de changer mon ordinateur pour une Mac Mini dernière génération avec le CPU Silicon et l’OS Big Sur. On ne s’en préoccupe pas depuis la dernière fois que j’ai déménagé il y a 8 ans. J’utilise un iMac sous OS-X 10.11.6 (El Capitan qui est la version d’OS de sept 2015) et Logitech Harmony Remote Software (7.8.1) avec une Hamony One (sans hub) depuis environ 15 ans. Their refurbished Harmony One includes an improved screen and removal of the rubber coating on the back. They sell refurbished remotes, do repairs and sell parts.

UPDATE 2: Happened to find what looks to be a good site for Logitech remotes. When you press the button you should get a little icon at the top of the display that a signal is being sent. UPDATE: The buttons on the remote can be tested to make sure they are functioning. Something to check on especially if you buy a used one. My old remote's battery had done that and I had to take the remote apart to get the battery out. Just an FYI.some of the original rechargeable batteries in the old Harmony remotes have been known to swell. So I just synced the new one using the old one's configuration. However it wouldn't recognize my login in order to copy the old remote's settings into the new one. The new remote was recognized, no problem. To get it to work on my MBP running Big Sur I used a Sierra virtual machine I had set up in Parallels.
On MacOS the Harmony One uses the MyHarmony app, which is unfortunately 32-bit only. I would have a hard time without it so I bought a near-new one off of eBay.
Mine has gotten considerable use and is showing its age. I've customized some of the buttons and it works very well for all my devices.
